The reason given was that a 'regional' casino was running a competing tournament and they felt it was in their best interest not to compete with them on that day. When we arrived and went to the desk to obtain a players card (required to play in the tournament) we learned the event was cancelled. My friend and I drove over 2 hours from NE Pennsylvania to play in the MAPC main event on October 14, which was a $100k guarantee tournament expected to last at least 2 days.
